the art of facial balancing

Our most popular treatment designed to address common concerns like facial volume loss, asymmetry, and poor definition.

what is facial balancing?

Facial balancing is a customized, full-face approach using primarily dermal fillers to create symmetry, restore volume, and enhance one’s natural features. Rather than focusing on one area, this advanced aesthetic technique evaluates the entire face—addressing proportions across the cheeks, chin, jawline, lips, and under-eyes for a more harmonious, rejuvenated appearance.

precision meets artistry

our facial balancing treatments begin with a comprehensive facial assessment, mapping the unique architecture of your face to identify opportunities for subtle enhancement.

we believe in treating the face as an interconnected whole, ensuring natural-looking results that complement your individual features. our approach is meticulous and conservative—enhancing what makes you uniquely beautiful rather than creating a standardized look.

FAQS

  • Facial balancing is a comprehensive approach that utilizes different products and techniques to create a more harmonious appearance. With the right combination of products, we address various aesthetic concerns, such as facial contouring, asymmetry, and restoring volume.

  • In most cases, no. We typically don’t repeat full facial balancing unless it’s requested. For natural-looking results, we recommend coming back in 12–18 months for a review. If needed, a small maintenance treatment may be performed to maintain balance.

  • Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally found in the layers of our skin. Its properties provide plump, hydration, bounce, and glow to our skin appearance. Unfortunately, with the natural aging process, our HA amounts deplete over time, starting in our 20s. This can create sagginess, skin folds, and overall poor appearance.

Hyaluronic acid fillers, when injected in layers of the skin, act to reintroduce lost volume, lift saggy skin, and can augment definition and contour.

  • We take a conservative, full-face approach to avoid overfilling. Every treatment is tailored to your features using minimal product for subtle, natural enhancement. And at times, this may require breaking up treatments into several sessions, so we achieve the most natural-looking results possible. Slow and steady wins the race in all cases.

  • Filler injections can cause discomfort and soreness. As a result, we apply topical numbing anesthetic at least 15 minutes before we inject. Should the topical numbing agent not suffice for pain levels, we also have options to apply local anesthesia. A lot of filler brands also now carry anesthesia already mixed inside the syringe.

Please note, there are some areas that tend to be more painful than others. This typically includes the nasal and lip area.

  • You'll notice a difference right away, but swelling can make results look temporarily exaggerated. Expect results to settle and reduce in appearance by about 15% within the first few days. Time is needed for filler to fully integrate with your tissue.

  • 1-week before treatment: Limit blood-thinning agents, such as Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Alleve, excessive garlic, vitamin E, gingko biloba, St. John’s Wort, and Omega-3 capsules.

1-3 days before treatment: Limit excessive alcohol intake, the use of topical retinoids or vitamin A derivatives (to minimize skin irritation).

Day of: Come to your appointment having already completed your workout for the day, and without any make-up (we want to make sure you have a ‘clean canvas’ to allow for more precise treatment).

If you are planning to get your lips done, please inform us if you have a history of herpes simplex virus (HSV) in order to receive advice on antiviral therapy prior to treatment.

  • Minor bruising, bleeding, discomfort, soreness, and mild pain are commonly expected with injections.

  • Paleness, mottled, or ashy skin at the area of injection that spreads with time and does not self-resolve.

Extremely acute, sharp pain that is NOT expected and does not resolve.

Numbness and tingling, loss of physical movement, shortness of breath, chest pain, visual impairment.

Please call us IMMEDIATELY if these side effects occur. We will instruct you on what to do.

  • Expect your results to last anywhere from 12-18 months, depending on how much product was used.

We are extremely mindful of the risk of overfilling, migration, and aesthetic imbalance. Patient requesting for full revolumization in less than 6 months from their prior treatment will require a consultation.

  • This will vary based on the concerns that need to be addressed, but typically we advise patients that visits will last for 1-1.5 hours.

  • Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising is common—especially in the first 24–48 hours. Most clients return to normal activities right away. Tylenol, ice, hydration, and light makeup to bruises can help manage symptoms. Detailed aftercare is sent in a separate email following treatment.
